Why should I book a photo-shoot with Alison Forbes Photography?
If you are looking for affordable great photos of all the family, in fun and relaxed settings then you’re in the right place.
How do I book?
If you are thinking about booking a family photo-shoot then get in touch ASAP by facebook message, email or call 07912614001. Please provide your name, the date and time you wish and your phone number, and who will be in the photo-shoot.

Where will my photo-shoot take place?
I offer both studio photography from my purpose built home studio, but if studio photography isn't your style, I can offer a location photoshoots too, some great places are Hengistbury Head, the beach, Wick park, Highcliffe castle, Upton Country park, even back gardens can make great settings. I am happy to travel in the Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole areas.
What happens if the weather is bad for my location photoshoot?
If your family don’t mind a bit of cloud with a chance of rain we will probably go ahead, however in the case of bad weather I will call you on the day and reschedule or we can have a studio photoshoot instead.
Are there any hidden costs?
I believe that everyone should be able to have great images of their family with no hidden surprises. My fee covers the photo-shoot, image selection and editing, and all you images on a secure online gallery. You can download your images to your device in full resolution and social size

How do I pay for my photoshoot?
I accept cash on the day, or bank transfer after the event. If you have booked a cake smash I will require a £20 deposit to secure your date.
Editing style
Too much of a good thing? Your family is gorgeous enough for me, I will enhance each and every image to make sure they really shine, and everyone is looking their best. A lot of children’s photography is heavily edited but I like to keep everyone looking natural. I can edit our scratches or blemishes if you request.
How long does a photo shoot usually take?
A normal photo shoot usually takes about 1 hour. However when photographing children I always allow extra time.
How many outfits can I bring?
I am happy for you to bring as many outfit changes as you would like within the hour, it gives variety to your images. Some outdoor shoots may not have changing facilities in which case changes with coats or jumpers may be best.
What can I expect on the day of the photo shoot?
I will text or call you on the day to confirm the place, time and do a weather check. When you arrive we will have a quick introduction and discuss they type of photos you would like, and any specific requests. We will then have an explore, stopping at great backdrops for the ‘everyone looking at the camera’ shots, I will suggest a variety of different poses for you and your family and get some candid shots in between, however it is your day and I am happy for you to take the lead if you wish. Overall I aim to provide a relaxed and happy environment for you and your children which in turn will shine through in your images.
How long does it take to get my images?
I aim to have your images edited and on your private gallery within 7-10 days. I will provide a few sneak-peaks on my facebook page unless you ask me not to. Your family’s privacy is important to me.

There is plenty of free road parking, when you arrive please use the doorbell located on the right hand side of the building signed 'The Studio'
